The last time Iwas in Florida car shopping they couldn't give away verts there, just to hot. There were many good deals to be had there in the Sanford area.

This is a fairly low mileage, '05 vert, auto trans, near to me. It is in very good condition and offered by a reputable seller. The price is $31k. Good looking car, though.

I think people are exaggerating the number of $25K garage queen Verts out there. I think you'll either have to pay more for a garage queen or settle for a driver. Not all Vettes have to be perfect. There are plenty out there that have been driven as transportation cars and are in the same shape that a transportation car would be in after 100,000 miles.

Sorry, didn't read all posts, but I read enough of them to see a few of you didn't catch that the car is a VERT.

Yes, it's a shade high, but not by much.

Thomasmotto...Thank you!! The inspection was done by Reeder Chevy in Knoxville very cooperative and did a good job. The car was a one owner car that was serviced very regularly, it sold new in Daytona beach and every service and oil change was done at the dealer, I called and spoke to them to verify. The brakes and rotors I can do myself. The oil pan issue is common, the tech said I probably wouldn't even see a drip. My only real concern is the crack in the fender, I may take a trip to Knoxville tomorrow to look at it in person. I know the mileage is high but I plan on driving and enjoying the car. A loaded Vert for 25K is hard to find. Here's a link to pictures of the car.

Thanks again for all the thoughts

WTB Thread opened in the for sale section...we'll see what pops up. All the best Vettes for sale should be coming from the forum...Right?

I agree with others on the forum, i would pass on this car. The miles don't concern me like the other, seemingly small items. By the time you fix these items and the things you don't see now (because of what you see, I think there will be more), you could have purchased one in great shape.

However, if you can do the work yourself, like to work on cars, and get a good deal, you can consider it. The crack in the fender is my biggest concern and makes me wonder about other issues. I can't open the link to your picture.

the car looks nice in the pics, would love to see a pic of the crack though... As far as the mirror being loose, i think there's a fix for that somewhere on here. The auto dim mirrors are annoying but don't think it's a deal breaker. The sun visors are expensive to replace, i think i read $250 for each so see if they can take $500 off for that. (or as much as you can get them to) Front brakes and rotors are going to cost about $250 so say you'll eat that if they take off the other $$. Now the tires are the big issue here. "cheap" tires are going to run you $900 and good tires are $1400-1800. The oil pan is not a problem if it's just "wet" and not dripping, most of us have that.... Good luck if you get it, but don't settle if they are not willing to negotiate!!! AT THE VERY LEAST HAVE THEM REPLACE THE TIRES OR TAKE MONEY OFF EQUAL TO THE VALUE!! But that crack is still bothersome as i havn't seen it yet.

I think the price is too high for those miles. I paid $29k for my 06 garage queen back in December. I couldn't be happier.

In general, the photos of the car look good. We now see the crack. The crack remains the main concern. I would have a body shop look at it to give me estimates if I was going to move forward with the car. It does not look like it was hit but hard to tell from pictures.
