It was one of the high points of my life to be able to buy my father his dream car. He did so much for me growing up and was always my hero. His love was VW and he would restroe them from the frame up. I know it might sound weird but they have car shows and they race. He had a 9 second VW, full cage, glass body, turbo, etc. Anyway he always said he wanted a Myers VW dune buggy but as the years passed he knew it would never happen because he was just to old to do it. So I found one and did a frame up restoration on it. I took some pictures of the day I gave it to him and he was so happy he teared up and it ment the world to me. I was so proud to be able to do this for him and we spent the whole evening just cruising the back roads. My mother told me that they go for a cruise in it at least 3 times a week in the evenings. I think I will give him a call after I send this just to see how she is running

Oh, boy. Hang around here and you just think you're done spending money. You're a good son, as I'm sure you're dad will agree in July, if not now.

Man, we have to get together soon so i can pick up my new car. Thanks, by the way for that, i'll take very good care of it!! See you this weekend to pick it up....

I've got a red 06 vert with that sticker that looks the same. I'm not sure about where to get the sticker, but your father is one lucky man to have you as a son.....what a present...

HAHA! You guys crack me up. Red actually PM'd me the link and I came here to post it for future thread searchers but it looks like he already beat me to it.

Thanks again guys, I will definitely be looking at getting myself a Vette in the future. I believe the bug has bit me.

The only problem is that I would have to start selling off my precious pinball collection and that ain't gonna happen

Awesome Gesture, When my sticker looked like that I just removed it, it looks much cleaner without it, you may just want to do that.

Let us know how he likes it, and have him join up here

I honestly can't even see what it was supposed to be? Any important info or just the basic "put coolant in your car dumbass" message?

Here's a pic of mine now:

On my Grandsport it's in another location (inside pass fender), but it looks to be this one:

Enjoy it while it's in your possession. Once your Dad gets the keys I wish you good luck at seeing them again.
