Man, the 2008 touch screen/nav head unit that came in my Z06 sucks the ***** very much bad. I knew that mofawker had to go the moment I bought the car.
So, the replacement is the Pioneer NEX6000. The shop wanted $799.00 installed (tax included) for just the head unit. To make a long story short, for $800.00 plus tax, they installed the head unit, back up camera, all wiring harnesses, mounting bracket, and ran/hid the wires for gps antenna and the microphone for the hands free functions.
Not a bad deal in my book. The NEX7000 had a screen a little bit under 1 inch bigger and the NEX8000 had the bigger but also capacitive screen (think use finger motions like on a smart phone to zoom in and out). Didn't need all that. So far so good and I'm happy with it.
Now, how do I get this thing to control the valves on my NPP exhaust? Any ideas?

Yes, that's the one. Awesome piece of equipment. I added in the rear view camera which makes parking a lot easier and I can also use it while driving (but I don't). The GPS function is amazing and easily updated via usb or Wi-Fi. Plus, I had the installer set it up so that a DVD can be watched while the car is in motion. The hottie mchotterson I went to Orlando and Tampa with last week appreciated that (and no...there was no **** being watched). The mic for my hands free system works well and is hard to spot because it was installed by the rear view mirror which is attached to a black backing. Awesome, I tell ya. Awesome. If GM would put in systems like this that would be great but it makes too much sense so it'll never happen.

Thats a good deal. I had the same unit installed. I got mine on ebay for $675.00 and had best buy install it. B/B charged about $350 for the install kit and the OnStar relay, The XM box and antenna's and steering wheel control wires and amp relays. and nav antenna . I love the unit as well.
