Z06 F/S Utah
I am thinking about selling my 08 Vert and picking up a 09/10 Z06 - any suggestions on where to find a good/not beat up Z06? My 08 has all of the options with about 36K on the clock -F55 instead of Z51 - I did add Z51 sways and end links. Any known Z06 years to avoid and or specific issues to be aware of. Thanks in advance for replies.

Just make sure it has a warranty. The ls7 is an amazing motor and the z06 is an incredible car. They suffer from valve dropping issues and if not under warranty it can cost you thousands of dollars. This issue is not specific to any particular year as far as I know.

Sorry, I'm very happy with my GS, so I quit keeping up with Z06 info once I bought mine. Potential engine issues, potential harsher ride, and potentially less reliability if you decide to put power adders on the engine were what scared me away, and I've been very happy with 2 years of daily driving my GS.
NOTICE I said potential, there are many happy Z06 owners out there.
I also took the Spring Mountain driving school, and the preference there was for the GS on the track (for the street drivers that like to pretend they can be a race car driver, like me)
Not trying to talk you out of the Z06, but you really should drive a GS with the magnetic ride suspension and NPP before you pull the trigger.
Could save some regrets later, or it will make your mind up even more for the Z06.
You should also look at posts (or even ask the mods to move this later) to the Z06 forum section, most of the Z06 owners I know spend more time there than here.
