Default How to remove scuff on targa top?

I have a light scuff on the outside of my targa top. Any advice on how to remove it? The mark is light and looks white. It appears to be on the surface only.

Is this a clear top or painted? Just use some light rubbing compound if its painted and plastic polish for see thru, with an orbital polisher than wax.

What brand of "plastic polish" do you recommend? Is it available in auto stores?

Painted or transparent top is not a small detail to leave out.

The top is clear. Would claybar hurt the clear top? Plastic polish I might try.

I have a scuff on the edge of mine. I think it's actually a section of the lexan being chipped out. Very small, not sure how to fix it.

Has anyone tried liquid glass polish? Can you find it in stores or online only?

You can use a very mild polish like Plexus (sp?), anything more aggressive tends to cause problems.
Lots of glass products can harm the plastic.

Individual scratches, that look white from the outside, can sometimes be "filled" by drawing a line inside them with a black Sharpie, not a perfect match but better than you might think.

Hello,

I high speed polished (1500rpm) with two stages of Meguiars Polish and all the scuffs and scratches disappeared. Followed up with some Rejex and 3 years later it still looks new.

I have a few on mine and did the Sharpie thing. From 5 or more feet you cant tell but up close you can see it. From the inside the marker is very noticeable.

you do realize this isn't a painted top.
