Default Need to Replace Vararam - Suggestions Please?

I have had the Vararam on for about five years and the air box is out of shape and will not make a seal between the two halves. I have replaced the gaskets that Vararam was nice enough to send me at no charge. I have had to use additional stick on foam gasket material to fill the gaps.

To my question. What would be a quality CAI to replace the Vararam easily in the space vacated by the Vararam? Emphasis on ease of install. Something to bolt-on and go.

I do have headers and a COW tune.

Thanks,

The Tire Guy

Get yourself a CALLAWAY HONKER.Same results as the VARARAM because it's a real CAI,so you have to cut the baffle for outside air anyway. LPE (lingenfelter) makes one too.All quality stuff. Don't get sucked into the big filter fiasco...you may as well go back to your stock one if you decide to go that route,it's just as good as any of those.

Honest opinion? Go back to the stock intake unless you're putting 500+ to the wheels.

Thanks for the posts. Guess I will do some additional research. I am so disappointed with the Vararam, I will be hard pressed to spend my money there again.

It just gets better and better.

After talking to Chuck COW my tune will need to be redone if I change brands of CAI. Crap, crap, crap.

Tell ya what.... Your tune is quite old and I've done some really fun stuff in the newer versions of the MY tune.

It might be worth your while to get a CoW BOOSTER/AutoCal/ and FREE RE_TUNE.

You'll be glad you did!

Or see if Vararam will stand behind their product and throw you a discount on a new one?
