Default Cleaning leather seats

What do you guys use to clean your leather seats and keep them soft. Keep them from cracking? I have no cracks yet and don't want any.

damp cloth and 303 aerospace protectant. Your seats are coated and won't absorb any kind of leather conditioner.

I use a wet rag and let it evaporate. No chemicals for me.

If you're cleaning something oil based, it should still work, just keep wiping until it's dry.

Used Lexol cleaner and conditioner (two separate liquids) on the leather of my last car and after 18 years the leather still looked new on the passenger and back seats. The driver's seat didn't look as new but had no cracks. I've started using the conditioner already on the leather of my new C6. Lexol was judged the best leather treatment by Motorcycle Consumer News, which is a no-advertising publication.

Tip: Buy Lexol in the 1L bottle from a saddle-seed store that caters to farmers and ranchers. It is much cheaper than buying in smaller spray bottles from a leather shop or other retailer. My last bottles cost $11 each, IIRC.

I go out cruising and find some hoochies with no underwear on and give them a ride. Works every time. Only thing you lose is that "new car smell".

Your seats are coated so nothing you apply will penetrate the coating. Use whatever you like but Lexol or mayonnaise will yield the same results. The leather used in Corvette seats is not high quality. You may not get cracks but you will get wrinkles. How you get in and out of the seat is the biggest factor in how they will wear.

10:1 water and Woolite (10 parts water to 1 part Woolite) in a spray bottle for everything in the interior, carpet, door panels, leather, etc. Works perfectly!

I just got a (used) corvette: How do I get in and out so that I won't create wear/wrinkles? There are already some present.

(I'd prefer to still exit via the driver's side door.)

Its actually pretty easy. Minimize any sliding motion as much as possible. You want to drop your butt into the seat not slide it across and parts of the seat. Basically you use your hands as a brace against the vehicle body or seat to lift yourself in. Its not as hard as it sounds.

I use a damp rag, but spray a little windex if there are stubborn spots from grease, mustard, salsa, etc.

You'll kill the side cushion quickly if you enter butt first, slide over, and then spin. I put my right foot about center of the floor and then use the steering wheel and armrest for support to swing my butt in and lower it onto the seat. I'm fortunate to have retained some degree of agility at age 71. Some people have no choice, except the sit n' spin method.

Just use water ( I used to be a Lexol junkie). The leather is covered in plastic film, thus Lexol does nothing. When you start to see wrinkles on the driver's side, it's foam breakdown not the leather. Eventually replace the foam.

I'm confused about this. When I use Zaino Leather conditioner, it soaks into the leather.

This is truly the best method, i think everyone should try it.

It's impossible. You can let it sit for days and wipe it right back off or it comes off on your pants/shirt... Unless it evaporates haha.
