Default Phoenix to Indy and back

Got home today after slightly less than 4000 miles in 10 days. My 2 year old Vette, which now has over 25,500 miles, performed flawlessly in everything from cloudless skies to torrential rainfall. Generally five over with occasional bursts over 100 to separate from messy pack. My new Garmin made the trip safer and more enjoyable---- navigation is a blast! Was not inspired to haul out camera until this---- a common rest stop on I-40 in the middle of Nowhere, Texas.

I really am shocked that you 1) publish a pic of a "normal," or regular, or "base" C6; 2) talk about torrential rain or anything after 6 months without mentioning how your tires gave up on you; 3) your vaunted gas mileage; 4) how comfortable the seats were; or 5) how noisy the tires, car, etc. were. You must be odd.

Thanks for the Indy pics.

Thanks. Here we are just up the road in the next state. Can you spot my Vette?

Yes, but if that's the same purple-tongued chow chow that was tied to the mirror, I like him/her almost as much.

Another Oklahoma pic. It was here I heard an Oklahoma Highway Patrol officer accelerating away heavily in his cruiser (Charger). Sounded like a turbo whine to me.

And then we made it to Bowling Green Kentucky. My boy Loha is clearly in this picture, away from my Vette. Can you locate him?

Last picture I took before leaving Museum. Went to "Art's Corvettes" right across the street and saw his great collection of all manner of classic Chevrolets (and others). Well worth the $5 "donation"

nice, nice, nice. I saw "Mr. PurpleT." under the tower. as to the pics of the cars, I'd bet the same or similar cars will be at Rolex at Laguna Seca later in August. or so I've been told.

Thanks. That rest stop in the picture is absolutely palatial, and there was another one on the other side (westbound) of I-40. Who ponied up the $$$ for those--- the counties seem tiny.

Headed west on I-70 Monday, May 27. Here is a rest area in Illinois. Very lush vegetation but discovered the downside quickly- billions of tiny flying insects
