Tinted my Eagle Eyes and installed them....
I received my Eagle Eyes from Corvette Mods and got right to tinting them after I installed them to verify everything works. Here's how I did it:
1) Wetsanded the lights with 1500 grit to remove sheen.
2) Applied 4 light coats of VHT Nightshades with 10 minutes in between coats.
3) Wetsanded with 2000 grit.
4) Applied 7 coats of automotive clear coat, waiting 10 minutes between coats.
5) Wetsanded with 2000 grit to remove all orange peel in clear coat.
6) Polished them with my orbital, orange Lake County pad and Menzera polishes. Waxed them with Collinite's 845.
I'm very happy with how they turned out and the lights are still plenty bright. Below are the photos.
It really was not hard to do at all, although I would not attempt it if you don't have an orbital and decent polish. If you had to polish them by hand your arm may fall off before you get the results your looking for.
Below is also a very low quality video I took of them at night. I also have VLED Tritons in the front:

Looks great!! Good job.
Steve Ray and a group of forum members painted ours. We used a 50/50 mix of black/clear. And did all the steps you did. Still look new after 5 yrs.

Thanks guys!
thanks! I bought it from a forum vender, -RPI DESIGNS-.
LOL, the thought crossed my mine to do this as a hobby, as I truly did enjoy doing it. However, I'm just not setup to do frequent paint work. My other half would not enjoy the house smelling like paint all the time, as I did it downstairs in the unfinished area. I didn't want the over-spray getting on my other cars in the garage and it's just too dusty outside to do it there. Plus there's the whole liability thing.
I had the stick on acrylic tints on my OEM lights.....four corner light and rear tail lights. I just wanted to get rid of that look and try it this way. My corner lights turned out just as good.

Thanks! Your photos and experience are encouraging for me.
I have had all of the same materials for a few months and have been planning to do the exact same thing. I just keep putting it off. Hopefully I will get around to it in the next weekend or two.
