Vette/Ferrari Similarities I notice
Hey guys, just wanted to share some features of the C6 that always remind me of a Ferrari Modena, so I threw some pics together for comparison...do you see it???
Headlights:
Wheels:
Stripes, not as similar but still when I see a 427 vette it reminds me of the Modena...

This is funny because I was staring at one yesterday in Irvine thinking the same thing... how it looked so much like my Vette (especially from the front).... I serioulsy doubt he saw it that way though!! hahahaha

From a design perspective, the C6 and the Ferrari 599 could be siblings. Take away the flying buttress at the rear window on the 599, and change the size of the side air outlet, and it'd be hard to tell much of a difference at first glance.
Good thing Chevy got there first, otherwise everyone would be saying they copied the Ferrari design.

In the case of the Ferrari 550 and 575, they did come before the C6...and to me they look even more like it. Same hoodscoop as Z06 and lack of the two big under bumper scoops like the F430.

The 550 and 575M look very, very similar to the C6 (or rather, I suppose it's the other way around). When Top ear tested the C6 Z06 they even brought one out and basically pointed out how similar they were.

Our C6 Vette's look more like Ferrari's then any C7 ever will. I know of no ugly Ferrari's...I know of one ugly Vette and that would be the upcoming C7.

In some interviews, the Corvette Gurus have freely admitted that they carefully look at Ferrari for design and engineering cues. They have said the Ferrari has more development dollars for their street cars than Corvette has by 10 fold. Tadge even said recently (and I'm paraphrasing) that if they are going to copy, why not copy from the best, the company that spends mega dollars in development of new technologies - some directly descended from their mega budget Formula One racing experience.
And of course GM licensees it's Mag Ride technology to Ferrari - an area where GM is ahead of the technology curve.

WISHFUL THINKING GUYS.
Just go seat in a Ferrari and then listen to it.
No comparison if your being objective.
I will say though I have the performance of the Ferrari sitting in my garage, so thanks to GM for this. But I know it ain't a Ferrari.
Also I am happy for the lower cost of up keep.
OK I give you that the Corvette is the poor mans Ferrari.
There I said it....

sorry c7 bashers, i think the c7 is a beautiful car. some bash the car due to the fact they can't afford it, so they talk themselves into believing how ugly it is. my opinion is, is it's going to be a very big hit in sales when it comes out in about three months. if i could afford the car, i'd buy it in a heart beat. i have the 013, love the car, but, i think the design on the c7 is a little bit nicer. especially the interior. you guy's can bash me all you want, thats my opinion and i'm sticking to it.
