Thinking of Stripe's

I agree that painted would look better. But the advantage of the decal is I could remove them if I wanted to change the look later on.

I have not done it yet. I was just looking for feedback on them to help me decide. So far the feedback has been great and positive. Enough that I might order the stripes soon. But before I order I have to find someone to install them. I stopped at a local corvette store/bodyshop yesterday and they wouldn't do the install. But told me a couple of places to check with.

It has a ghost stripe effect. Very subtle. I would reconsider the nose stripe pattern and have it conform to the hood's design.

Stripes. Yep.
Had a 2001 with decal. Worked just fine. My current 2011 GS, I had painted. Sure turns heads. Yesterday, a gal rolled down her window and yells across at me, "I love your car!"
The other thing I did was to powdercoat my billet grill.

I love stripes on corvettes. They really show off the body lines. What I'm not a fan of is using straight lines down a hood that has distinct angular body lines. My opinion - If you're going to put the stripes on, at least have them follow the gorgeous body lines on the vette. More like what you see on the 60th Anniversary C6

Well I am having a hard time finding anyone locally that is willing to install the full racing stripe kit. Do to having to remove the front grill.
And listening to the members that recommended a style that would follow the lines of the hood better. I think I have decided to go with this style with the pewter color. And that way I am not making an exact copy of someone else car like in the first pictures.
I do have someone that will install these because the grille is not involved.

Do stripes! But to distinguish yourself from others do the style you saw on the silver one, all the way down in the front and back and straight, not curved.

I like the stripes and I think the color you want will ook good. I agree with every one else that they need to go with the body lines on the car. Paint is great, but the newest vinyls seem to do pretty well. The GCA stripes are different then most aftermarket stripes in that they are paint and clearcoated over some type of media. You might check the furom venders for a price. There's one that always posts " June Specials at ????". I just don't remember the name but the prices seemed good.

Duro, I am painting my Blade Silver 2103 with a Stripe , front top and back. Your pic's are no longer on the page. Would REALLY LOVE to see your car. I am leaning towards a light grey similar to what you are describing, but tough decision!
Thanks Shadz
