Non run flat GY vs Michelin
I'm almost afraid to post this question as I expect to get a myriad of answers but I'm brave so--
I have decided to replace the GY EMT's on my 2010 GS with non runflats:
1) Leaning toward a Michelin Pilot Sport (summer tread).
2) Comparing against a GY Eagle F1 (summer tread).
Car has 7500 mi. Front tires 6/32 tread ; rear 4/32 tread
Car had recent 4 wheel alignment and aligned to touring mode.
3) Rumor is GY may give you kind of a warranty settlement and offer to install GY non run flat F1 tires on your car and confiscate the original tires if you go into a store and complain about the poor wear and excessive noise?
Regards,
Dave K.

I think you have actually have gotten decent tread life from your original tires, based on what I've seen, so I doubt they will work with you to replace them.
Also, I'm finding it more difficult to find installers that are willing to take the liability risk of installing non-run flats on a car that comes with them from the factory.
Having said all of that, the Michelins are pretty much unanimously preferred over the comparable Goodyear tire, almost all the time.

Don't go far from home ? Weekend drives to the corner store ? Go for it. Otherwise, stick with a run flat. I have the Michelin R/F's and love them.
