Default Second gear tire chirp

Any you guys get your car to bark the tires when it goes in 2 gear?
I had mine in sport mode the other day and just floored it from a stop with no button pushed TC and all was still on and when the change to 2nd come in the tires chirp a little. All I have is a vararam intake.

I have to be real careful not to spin the tires on 2nd gear shift. First time I did it I got the car so sideways so violently that I hit my head on the roof above the door. I am much more conservative with the gas pedal on 1 - 2 shift these days.

I'm assuming you have an auto, because my squalls very loudly when I grab 2nd with my 6-speed.

It would spin like crazy and only whine with the Goodyears, but the Bridgestones just bite and let you know you have broke traction.

Sounds like the old days with the musclecars when I get on it hard.

Yep, the Goodyears just spin without making much of any noise. They also don't allow full throttle in first or second without spinning, or that could be the LS7

Can't wait for my Michelin super sports to arrive.

hahaha, this happens to me all the time in my manual 2009 LS3 coupe.... The questions I should be asking people here is... how the heck do you launch this baby without breaking free and burning rubber through the intersection (although that is fun too)...

It's normal. Be careful it can get away from you.

Somewhere in the massive FAQ, there is a guide on how to launch the car well. Under the racing guides. I dont go to the track often, so I dont get much practice, but I think its something along the lines of put RPMs around 5k, pop the clutch, dont move the gas until you hook, then punch it and go. Don't forget to take off traction control.

I have hooked the GY run-flats better than I expected after following the advice in the FAQ.

On the street, when I accidentally break free, the GYs just sound like there is an inch of sand between the wheel and the pavement. In some parts of Texas, this may actually be the case.

2009 A6, Performance Axle ratio, Michelin PS2 runflats.

I roll into the throttle very quickly, but not quite a mash. Then at about 20 mph/3,000 rpm, I may have to ease off a little as the engine gets into the good part of the power band.

This varies widely depending on temperature and road surface.

I have an A4 and it spins in 2nd and chirps in 3rd. I had the shift pulswidth shortened and the shift pressure adjusted to 60% over factory in my transmission tune. I love those barking 19's.
