Default Set of HRE's I am putting together for my Z

They are HRE C20's that I bought off a forum member that were race wheels. They are the lightest wheel that I have ever felt. They were in bad shape and actually had been spray painted flat black. The past couple weeks I have torn them down and am almost done with them and wanted to share my progress. Lots of pics.

apart and starting to strip

swapping my lights and repainting my bumper while the car is apart

started bare and worked my arm off!

started with aircraft stripper and then a ton of set sanding, 600/800/100/1200/1500/2000 and then clay on a cotton wheel, then mother aluminum polish on a ball and then one more really hard by hand and then 3 coats of wax to seal :-). yeah my arm is killing me and I am only done with the rears!

Does anyone know what kind of lug nuts I should get? I am looking for a black set with wheel locks and need to know what type works with aftermarket wheels. If anyone has any links or vendors I would appreciate it

Nothing feels better than buying something meh, and fixing it up to perfection. Just feels good that you transformed those wheels doesn't it? Looks amazing man! Can't wait to see pics of the new look.

thanks guys I just finished the front two wheels today and will have tires mounted on Wednesday. I am also putting my lowering bolts on with the wheels to get the stance just right. Will keep it updated with pics
