I am sure this has been discussed many times here, I have read a couple of the threads, but Wife and I are headed to our family's house on the coast next week and we are not leaving until after work on Tuesday so lot of the ride will be after dark and I know the closer we get to the SC Lowcountry(headed to IOP in Charleston SC) the bugs will get worse and worse

Just applied a coat of Rejex on Daughters G35 Infinity and thinking that a coat of Rejex on the Vette can not hurt

Will the Rejex make cleaning the bugs off any easier once we are there.

I am also going to take a few cleaning supplies to clean the Vette once we are there, got a great place under the house that is concrete where I can clean it the next day

By way I did order some of the Adams waterless car wash as well as the detail spray, would either of these be good to keep it clean without spending a lot of time on it while at the coast. Got LOT of fishing to do while I am there LOL

when you get there whil ethe car is still warm take a large towel soak it in water and place it on the front of the car for 15 minutes.....the bugs will hose right off

Rejex is pretty much as advertised. I only have one coat on my car (just put it on the "nose" parts), and most bugs wash off with a strong hose spray. The stubborn ones are easily removed with light rubbing with a rag/mitt.

Don't forget Rejex on the fronts of the outside mirrors. And supposedly you can put it on your windshield too but I haven't tried that.

I bought a bra for trips such as you describe but never have put it on. Looks like it would be a pita to install.

The real key is to get the bugs off the same day, or at least very early the next morning.
I just finished cleaning the wife's Honda yesterday. Bugs had been on for more than a week. Took me over an hour just to get the front bumper and grill clean.
We have a saying at our house; "Never let a bug spend the night on the Airplane or Car."

Griots's Bug Barricade works for me. Spray it on and it leaves a non stick barrier that enables you to wash the bugs off or use a waterless cleaner to do the same.

Rejex does help for sure but as others say, get the bugs off as soon as possible. Also, using Rejex on the glass is fine.....

I would say you are all set, with the Rejex, detail spray, microfiber towels, the bugs should not be an issue.

Immediately following every cruise I clean both windshield & front end, found Windex works beautifully. Bugs only become 'wind-baked' & much harder to clean, later.

I have used Rejex on my boat for years and even though it is a 99 it still looks new, it is really used hard for fishing but cleaned after each trip and 2-3 times a year a good cleaning and two coats of rejex

Never used it on a vehicle till I put a coat on my Daughters car other evening and it looks great

i have heard that placing a hot/ wet towel over the bugs for 15 minutes will help wash them right off. you shuld invest on a PANTY HOSE front end cover and use it on trips, it's ugly but not as ugly as bugs and tar.

Take with you a small spray mist bottle of hydrogen peroxide. Spray the HP on the bugs, let it sit for a minute or less, and wipe them off. The bugs will sort of bubble up, and they are very easy to remove. It is safe on paint and finish. I have been doing this for years with no issues, and it is CHEAP!

Start saving old used soft dryer sheets.

Just wet them and wipe the bugs off.

Works like a charm.

Rejex works very well for us both to keep the car shiny, and allow easy bug removal.

I tried Rejex on the windshield, IMHO it did not work as well as RainX.
Aquapel is more expensive but works better than either, that's what I use now.
Any of those products will make bugs come off the windshield easier.

without sounding repetative, try lemon pledge. it works very well on glass and whole car. been using it on my show cars for years. will not hurt car at all.

every time I know I'm gonna be on the highway for a few hundred miles I always put a few coats of wax on the bumper. Everything comes off so much easier that way.
