Default Branch through my air dam.....

So a few weeks ago we were driving and came across some fallen tree debris in the middle of the road that I couldn't avoid. It looked like it would clear under the car. It made a big thud and then we cleared it. Never thought anything of it until we put my car on the lift yesterday to install my headers/exhaust....

Uh yeah. That's a 3-4" piece of wood pierced cleanly through my air dam. Pretty impressive actually.

Thank The Lord it was the air dam. Could have caused a lot of damage to the radiator.

Don't really remember much from the incident as I had put it behind me until I saw this yesterday. Remember it was a back road so probably 50-60 at the most?

That's an organic adornment, the tree huggers should be at one with your car now.

I'd have to look at mine to be sure but did it pull the screws through the holes in the end of the air dam?

Figured I'd update this... Left it there for good luck and it's still there. Just found pictures of my car from the track photographer from Saturday and you can see the branch still.

*shrugs*

Corvette won't clear anything on the road but maybe gravel.

Man that thing is pretty ugly - looks like it belongs on a John Deere.
