MGW is the best for my dollar, my oem was sloppy and i was missing shifts. I replaced upper unit and the lower unit. The results are great, shorter throw and no missing shifts.

Search the C6 forums for MGW and you will get lots of good reading, they also discuss other shifters too.

From what I've seen out here (and I'm looking at the forums almost daily), by far the most popular aftermarket shifter recommended here is the MGW.

I'll eventually get one for myself. I've found that IF I shift as I should (meaning without putting any side pressure on the shifter, by using the palm of my hand), I rarely miss gears no matter what RPM or how fast I shift. But the MGW guys say missing gears virtually disappear when they installed them, that would be my reason to upgrade.

Get the newest MGW shifter AND the shifter box.

I just did this and I already had an older version of the MGW shifter.
Installed it myself and not hard to do at all (if you're mechanically inclined).

It was good before, now it is great. Smooth, easy, and quiet shifts.
