Default Replacing One Shock

If I need to replace one shock and the rest of the existing shocks are almost a year old, would I experience any handling issues since three of the four shocks have had a chance to settle for 10 months, and one is brand new?

It's more about the mileage on the shocks than the age.

I think you'd be ok.
Any idea why the one shock died?

It should be fine.. if you were racing I would replace a pair, but for the street... it's fine, really.

The dealer told me the top shock mount is broken, and they need to replace the shock.

with those relatively few miles, I'd agree w. the above. and it is interesting to note the racing comment re replacing a pair-good call!
