Glad it worked out for you Dave, and thanks for the heads up on Pay pal. I use it quite a bit but I will be more careful in the future. I am just too trusting I guess.

I told him if he wanted me to, to add it to his paypal account.
I guess the old saying trust but verify needs to be amended to "Don't trust, PERIOD"

I think that's what douche bags count on Denny, they try to build a rapor with you in email, then say like this buyer did, oh just ship it to my business address. Thinking you will say oh OK yeah it's cheaper save me money on shipping.

It sucks to be a trusting soul. I purchased a rear spoiler from a forum vendor and just didn't like the way it fit, so I ended up with a GM part. Anyway, I advertised the RPI spoiler on here and sold it to forum member vitalveloc__y from Texas for half of retail. I prepaid shipping and had an agreement with the guy that once he saw the part he would send me a check. Ya, I know....because I am a man of my word I trust too much that others will be also. Anyway, never a dime, despite several emails, proof of delivery, etc. I have his address and the next time I travel to Texas I'm gonna go look him up. I told the Jack that if he didn't like just send it back.

True this ........ Merchants suffer from dishonest buyers too. Then the rest of us wonder why the cost of things are so high. It's not all profit.

It sucks that it has to be that you just can't trust in human decency. I trusted the guy and he didn't have the decency to carry his end of our deal. I guess at some level I do believe that what goes around comes around, and he will get what's coming. The problem with being a man of my word is that I am also a man of principal, and while the cash I lost won't make a difference in my life, it just flat pisses me off because it just isn't right. I travel a lot for work and the next time I'm in TX I have already decided to go hunt it down just to make the jerk feel like what he is.

I feel the same way, although PayPal made me whole it just pisses me off there are people out there like that. I travel a lot for work and next time I am in Ca I will be doing a little investigating of my own. If I see the car with the wheels on I will make sure he gets prosecuted.

I don't consider doing online transactions with another person without Paypal. Not worth the risk or hassle.

BTW..if one gets a refund to PayPal, it usually takes 3 - 5 days to show up so you can transfer to your source account. I always leave $1000.00 in PayPal for big ticket items I might want to purchase. (Like all these overpriced things I bought for my 'new to me' C6!)
