Any Corvette owners into sport bikes too?

We tend to go into Canada for our rides, there are a lot of twisty back roads with no traffic, and they maintain their roads much better than western New York.

I've been riding since the early 90's
Current bikes:
08 Ducati Hypermotard 1100S (bad pic)
And
12 KTM RC8R
I need to get some better pics of these.
Here's a stock photo of the KTM
I used to do quite a few track days but it's been a few years. Hope to get the RC8 out to Barber in Sept/Oct.

I bought my first bike, an R69, when I was in the Navy in 1966. There hasn't been a time since when I didn't have at least one, until now. My first sports bike, and probably the first mass produced from the ground up true sports bike [not counting the Italians], was an 83 VF750. Since then I've had other VF's, an FZ600, and several CBR's. I gave my last CBR600 to my son last fall, but I'm missing the bikes. I really like the V-Twins which basically leaves me with Ducati's and used Hondas. I've been looking at RC51's, so what do you think of yours?

I have Sato cans on mine and I think it sounds better than the vette, it makes inline 4 bikes sound like sewing machines. As you probably know they stopped making them in 2006 but mint ones are out there, I picked mine up in NY state last year with 10k on it, if you are patient or willing to travel there are good deals on them out there.
I've never driven a Duc so maybe I don't know what I'm missing, but the RC is way cheaper, less maintenance, more reliable and less depreciation (should be able to pick up a near mint low miles one for 5-6k). Given the CBRs you've had you can probably relate to a lot of this. I just love the uniqueness of the RC, its a part of racing history and I still think it looks better than many newer bikes, I get lots of compliments when I'm out riding.
I like driving on the back roads enjoying the curves, highway riding doesn't really interest me anymore. The RC is way more bike than I need, I can't even come close to pushing it to its limits but have no problem outriding guys with supposedly "newer/faster/more powerful" bikes
PM me if you are looking for any other info!

I read somewhere that an FJR finished first in the killer Iron Butt run where the riders, some two up even, ride a thousand miles a day for eleven days straight and, he ran a car tire on the rear!
