Default could a bad battery cause all this?

well, after 4 years and 11 months, my vette decided to chump me today. Came out of the gym after 3 hours, (noticed when i started it to take it she turned over a little slower but caught right away). anyway....pushed the start button and the tell tale clicking, and the dash lights and other stuff was acting weird. the third time i tried it i got "no fob dectected". then i tried the fob in the glove box plug, just clicking and weird stuff on the dash. then i got out...closed the door, and it would not unlock when i tried to get back in. went through the trunk, pulled the door release. got in, put in "accessory mode", then back to off;, and the doors worked from the outside ok again. called wife, she came with the Yukon..jumper cables, started it up after a short charge, drove it home...power steering felt hard, had "service vehicle soon" warning light on the instrument display all the way home and ABS yellow light was on, no ABS. Thank goodness i got it home with no jerdan help and in the garage? wtf? battery goober? or more?

Yes! Weak batterry wreaks havoc with the C6. I've spent a lot of time chasing down gremlins that were nithing more than defective batteries (2).

I've had to replace my battery 3 times on my 08.I'm using the Advance Auto gold brand battery now.The radar detector flashing LOW BATTERY.If you hold down on the bottom of the start button for about 10 seconds it will turn everything on so you can check the battery voltage, below 10 volts you are dead in the water...Good luck

Got exactly six yeras to the month out of mine, and then the battery gave up the ghost.

The CD player sounded like it was going through and counting CD's......when there were none in the player. Other than that, just some random clicking, but no juice to start the car. Tried to jump start with Tri-City Towing in Prescott, AZ., but it was not to be.

Anyway, went to O'reilly's Auto Parts and got their Group 85 battery. $104.00 plus tax. 2 year free replacemnt, and then 5 year prorated. I had gift cards to use at O'Reilly's, so I decided to buy from them to cover the cost.

BTW, they ordered in a new battery for me with a current date code of 7/13, so it is new and fresh. It is now on the battery maintainer, what my OEM battery has been living on for the past 6 years since I picked up the 2008 Corvette Coupe...... 3LT/Z51/NPP/MZ6 on August, 2007, in Kellogg, Idaho. 11,054 miles on the ODO.

Car battery is toast. Give it a dignified burial and drop in a new lamb to the Corvette electronic slaughter machine.

$267? I didn't realize batteries were that expensive. My battery failed while my car was still under the bumper to bumper warranty.
