Any C6 owners change their minds after seeing the C7??????

Looks like a nice car to me (never seen one in person). I like the sexy curves of the current C6 GS much better but could live with a C7.
Main reason I bought my 2013 was because I could have it now, and when you take into considerations the current C6 discounts it would of cost me an additional $15K or so, maybe even more, to get into a C7. Plus I would of had to wait, and wait, and wait to be a beta tester for GM.

I bought my C6 specifically BECAUSE of the C7 design changes. Now PLEASE, I beg of you, DON'T TURN THIS INTO ANOTHER C7 "LOOKS LIKE A CAMARO FROM THE BACK" THREAD!!! I've seen the preview pics and the real thing, and I think it's a damn good looking car, and a worthy successor to the C6. It's as much of a generation change as the C1-C2 and the C2-C3, and I believe the package will be a better car to live with and drive than the C6.
What I wanted to buy for myself, however, was the quintessential Corvette that I'd lusted for since the 60s, and for me, that meant round taillights and big fender bulges and a big rear end--thus, C6.
However, when I win the next $400MM PowerBall lottery, I also plan on buying a new C7! So there.

As to whether I would buy one. I saw it at the NYC car show. I probably will go to the C7, but not until the vert is out and most likely not until at least the 2015's are here.

People are so quick to try to be a Mod in the forum!
Well, my father is ordering a new C7, first model year so I'll drive his and check it out first before I make any kind of decision and then wait a couple of years to get the bugs worked out since I am completely happy with my 09 Base C6.

This past weekend I saw the C7 Coupe and Vert at the Vettes on the Rockies at Winter Park, Colorado, event. I was able to sit in the convertible.
There was a ZR1 next to the vert and I believe that in a few years the rear end of the C6s and earlier models will really seem dated. The rear end definitely looks much better in person. Another impression is that the car looks smaller than it is (which I think is a positive) and others were making the same comments.
The seats are a significant upgrade. It seemed the leg room on the passenger side was lacking, but I may be off on that when the leg room stats come out. The electronics on the instrument panel are flashy, but I don't really care. In fact, I am definitely old school about that and prefer my C6 setup. After seeing the 3lt package on the dash, I will definitely go with the 2lt.
It is a stunning car and I am sure it will be a blast to drive.
After saying all of this, I am going to wait until '15, '16 or maybe even '17. I have never paid much over invoice for a new car (and I have bought way too many). In addition, I want to wait until the bugs are worked out and see what upgraded models will be introduced.
In the meantime, I am putting some money into some performance modifications on my C6 and am going to continue to enjoy the greatest ride I have ever had (and I had a 2010 Shelby GT500)!

Proud owner of a 13 GS..I'll see the C7 at Carlisle.. Need to see that Mitsubishi rear end in person.. Not a fan of a base C6 or the new base C7..We'll see what the widebody C7 looks like down the road.

Correct forum Randy. As to the question, they butchered the car IMO. For most of us 90% of the purchase is looks and curb appeal which as we all know is quite subjective. Aesthetically the car is way too sharp, too many angles and a mish mosh of design ideas. We all expect the peformance to be very acceptable but the appearance is just as if not more important. Maybe when the hi-po version comes out they'll have corrected some of the f__ ups.

Saw two C7's (Laguna Blue and Crystal Red) at the Canadian Tire Motorsports Park a few weekends ago. Liking it a little more after seeing it in person, but still doesn't wow me. I was in the market for a Vette last spring, so it would have been tough to wait a year and a half to get a C7. Combined with the fact that you're going to get much better bargains on a C6, it didn't make sense to wait. Now if I was in the market say next spring/summer, I would have gone for a C7. Of course, you might not have a choice as I don't think there will be any new C6's left by then. I do believe that most of the C7 criticism will have run it's course by next year, and it will be considered a superior choice to a C6 by most.

Dealers are advertising 427 anniversary cars with an MSRP of 91440 for 76k plus 3k if you have a Vette and any c/c points you may have, that's near 70k for a 91k car. All day long a 427 vert over a C7 for basically the same money once you equip a C7 nicely.

Only pictures and stats--including the Motor Trend write up so far. Don't like the quarter window, it looks stupid on a two seat sports car, don't like the tail lights, like most. Stats are good, but not a major improvement excepting the ediff, which sounds good for the track. And the cylinder deactivation makes it a non starter for me, especially in the first year of production. Interior looks good in pictures. But the deal I got on my '13, it being the last of the C6s and better looking than the C7 with comparable performance, made it a no brainer. Will see the C7 at my dealer's Vette show in a month which I'm looking forward to. Pictures just don't really convey well.

I got a great deal on a 13 GS last Novemeber. Figured I'd trade it in on a 15 C7.
BUT isn't the correct answer here it all depends on your status in life? I mean I'm 60 got some money saved and I cannot guarantee tomorrow so I'm not going to wait. If you are younger and have some time.....maybe wait.
I got a great deal on the C7, got a great trade offer on the C6......... figure if I kept the GS another year it would depreciate a little more and need tires.
If the stars line up I'll have had the GS 11 months. 11 great months but this could be the last time for me to get in line for a new model.
I would advise anyone to see the car is person. I had an idea, went to see it, spent lot of time with it and made some changes when it came time to order.

Haven't seen it in person, but I like what I see in the pics and vids. And what I read about the engineering in it.
I've got two C6s, and if I like the 7 when I get to lay eyes on it, one of them may go to make room for the hi-po version of the 7 or the Callaway version of it. My ZR1 isn't going anywhere tho.

C7 of the Year - Unmodified Finalist 2021
I've seen the C7 in person and the back is probably what kills it for me - tried to keep an open mind but when I look at my red C6 I feel I would be much more happy in it...also the fact that the C7 comes in Torch Red and not Victory Red is the last straw
