Default After market shift ****

I am looking for an after market shift **** to use with my stock shifter. I purchased one, but got a bit of a rattle when I really step on it.

Anyone have an aftermarket **** that does not rattle? Or, any ideas to eliminate the rattle on the **** I do have. The factory **** is dead quiet. I just do not like how it fits in my hand.

Thanks in advance.

I really like my stitched leather-covered one from DS Vettes (with matching stitched leather boot).

Try wrapping some Teflon pipe tape around the shaft before you put the **** on. No rattles for me.

I have an MGW Race shifter in the car-$55 buck plus shipping, very nice grip, excellent shifting position, quality is very good and it does not rattle. They send it to you with the allen key for you to tighten it down. I got the all black.

I have a GM after market shift ball and a MGW short throw shifter. IMO both are improvements over the OEM Ergo shift ball and shifter.

With respect to rattle, fully agree on the comment using Teflon thread tape. That should fix your problem

Here is mine below.

My after market ball rattled like crazy also. I cut some small patches of fabric and stuffed them into the shift ****. I put enough of them in till it I had to push down on the **** to get that screw in. I also put some tape on the shaft. It's quiet as a mouse now.
