More info would certainly be helpfull. I normally try to use Edmunds as a good rule of thumb. Although it seems like right now the market might be a bit higher then Edmunds quoted prices. Doing a quick check a fully loaded red 06 auto with 15k miles using my zip code is at 22192 trade 24377 private party and 27366 retail.

Miles sound great. Many will tell you to go for something after 2008 because the automatic goes to a six-speed paddle shifter and the engine goes to 6.2, 430 HP. However, those who have the earlier cars enjoy them. Have it checked-out by a mechanic.
You could go to Cars.Com or Autotrader, but I think that you would find it difficult to locate comparable cars to get a price.

The 6 speed auto debut was in 2006. The 2005 was the only year of the 4 speed auto in the C6.
The 06 has indeed the 6.0 400 HP LS2 motor. The 6.2 430 LS3 debut in 2008 as stated.

The source I have for pricing is $24,925 wholesale and $28,200 retail for a heavily optioned 2006 coupe with 15K miles on the clock. Any asking price around or between the low and high would be fair pricing.

I traded mine in for a lot more than retail listed above with many more miles than that.

I can't believe prices are falling that low. They're giving them away. What a difference two months makes. I wonder what prices will be this winter? $19,000 for a 15k mile 06C6?

I can believe it. To me anyways getting a car at edmunds prices is a good deal. Can't always do it and it partially depends on your area how long the dealership has had the car and how badly they want to sell it ect. But every time I have ever traded in a car Edmunds was closer to trade value then KBB. I usually use it as a starting point on my offers. Many don't take it or won't even come close so I move on.

Although I can say right now there is almost 10k difference between KBB and Edmunds and normally the difference is much smaller (around 3-4k) So I am wondering if KBB isn't taking into account the C7 while Edmunds is. Again just a thought.

This is all just my personal expierence. While I wouldn't say I am the best at haggling I have gotten some good deals by being patient and sticking to my offers. But I have also lost out on some good deals as well.

I would say if you can get it between 20-25k, and the car checks out, probably a pretty good deal. If they would take 15k, even better.

I got $28.5 for my black 1LT Z51, M-6 '06 with 14,800 on trade for the '13 in Mar. Brand new tires, which the dealer put on. They sold it 3 days later for ~31-32K. Car had Bullets, Aircharger, and was perfect except for a stone chip below line of vision on windscreen. That was almost 6 months ago, of course. The deal on the '13 was very good, but they definitely wanted my car. I think I could easily have gotten 30 for it private sale, but the difference was made up by paying less sales tax exactly. The real key is how much they, Dealer or private party want the car. Same applies to the buyer. How much do you want that particular car. With ultra low mileage you will pay a premium, but I would guess 26 to 28K would be a very fair price, depending on where you live, of course.

You guys saying 25k or less; I want some of the 'shrooms you've been eating. If the car is as nice as should be expected with 15k miles, it will be easy to get 30k for it.

The ONLY thing at those prices would be a salvage title.

Carmax would likely pay more than that for the car. Show me one person willing to sell a 2006 with 15k miles for $25k or less. It's not going to happen.
