Many hard core only put 2-4k, slightly higher in non snow states. I do about 7k..Care of the car is most important, low mmiles and still could be hard driven. Check it closely and take to a good Corvette Mech. for a once over.. my .02. Good luck, there are a lot of good car out there.

I bought my 08 last August with 17K miles. I think that was low. It now has 29K I have seen some that are extremely low. A couple thousand miles a year low. Before I sold my Camaro (bought new in 99)last year, I had put only 1000 miles on it in the last 2 years. I swore I would never do that again.

10 miles on a 2005 would probably be considered low miles.
What would you consider low miles on a say....Cadillac, or Chevy, or Mercedes? Probably would be considered the same on the Corvette (Chevy).

A lot depends on the area of the country. Seems like the average most of us drive is 4-5k per year.
Here are a couple threads to give you an idea of what members are driving:

I would guess that any car with 6-7,000 per year is a low miler. 8-12,000 per year is normal and 15,000+ per year is high mileage. There are many out there with 2-3,000 per year and well cared for, if you do some hunting you can find them. Personally, I think that I would want one with around 36,000 to 42,000 with records. Many like to drive them and most care for their cars, after market warranty is not much and will same you some dough in the long run.

Some great information and feedback. It'll sure help me when trying to find the right car. I've seen a couple 2008's with around 23-24K miles. Would that be considered low? I thought the forum would be a great place to look for a Vette rather then dealers since I'm assuming most members try to help each other out.
What other things do you feel are important when considering a used Vette?

16k or less would be low.

I love driving a c6 z06 so anything under 94,864 is low to me.

Other than the normal things to look for harmonic balancer issues are somewhat common as well as oil pan leaks. Both are expensive repairs.
Good luck and enjoy the hunt. Whatever you do don't rush yourself. There are a lot of cars out there and you'll find the right one for you eventually.

I'd say that's low. If I were looking for an 08 that would be the mileage I'd shoot for.

Glad you mentioned that i should be patient. I really want to find one that fits what I'm looking for rather then just jump at the first thing that comes along. Are my chances pretty good that I can find the right one while still getting a good deal? Is the forum the best place for that?
As for your origional question I kinda agree with the poster above <7k per year is low 7-12 average over 12 high.

There was a guy at one of the Carlisle tech clinics asking a top notch Corvette mechanic about engine/valve failure on ZO6's. The mechanic asked him what year ZO6 he had and how many miles were on it. The owner said 2,500 on a 2008 ........the tech told him to drive it more.
