Default No More Baltimore Grand Prix . . .

For those interested, the Baltimore Sun reported this morning that the Baltimore Grand Prix is cancelled for 2014 and 2105 due to too many other sporting events and convention scheduling conflicts in the city, and that it is highly doubtful they will ever bring it back after that.

For those that enjoyed the Grand Prix as I did - sorry. For those that did not - congratulations.

Craig

Personally I'm glad they will find another venue. The circuit was stupid and extremely costly to teams. There are better options out there

Mixed reaction - bummed that the race is gone for Baltimore. However the city track was bad and the racing fairly boring with only 1 or 2 spots on the entire circuit for passing. This last race was far more caution time than racing.

Yeah, that last race was embarassing. Many other good road courses here in and Canada to explore, Austin is going to be a gem!

The Baltimore race was an embarrassment to the ALMS. If you're trying to build a fan base as the ALMS and the United Sports Car are, this isn't the way to do it. The fans who attended the event had to be pi$$ed when a 2+ hour race was reduced to about an hour.

"Baltimore, good bye and good riddance!!"

Giles Villeneuve has been an exciting track to watch NASCAR Nationwide on; the Cup guys need to get up there as well...

I went to the first Baltimore race, and was glad I got the chance to see the Corvette Racing team in person.

That being said....... I am glad they have cancelled future races.

Too many cautions for a 2 hour race.

Yes the track was absolutely ridiculous with those tires in the middle to get them to slow down for the train tracks.Sorry for the folks who live there but glad to see they won't be torturing us tv fans with that idiotic track. and ALMS is on NEXT WEEK!!

In car POV, pretty cool.

All bitching aside, Baltimore was a great host city. I had a great time there.

Cheers,
JB

Time to take it to Bowling Green and the NCM track when it is completed.
