Default What is a Fuse Panel in GM Speak?

Wanting to look up the fuse panel in my Helm Manual.

Index has no listing for "fuse" or "fuse panel".

Does anyone know what GM engineers have decided to call a "fuse?"

fuse block - underhood

BCM Fuses Relay block - I/P

In Helms, find the section for Wiring System and Power Management.

what are you looking for. There is a fuse / relay box on the passenger shock tower and a fuse box under the passenger front floor carpet.

A viola is a largish violin. Perhaps you meant voila?

Voila. It's French for "there it is" or "see there." Voici, on the other hand, means "here it is" or, of course, "see here."

A viola, however, is a stringed instrument.

Given the size of the electrical section an entry in the index seems like a reasonable expectation for "fuse" or "fuse box" but there is nothing after "fuel tank filler door."

It would be the cats meow to have a pdf that would be searchable.

GM has never made it easy to navigate around service manuals. Electrical is the worse. And I've not looked at anything lately, those 10 years ago or so are bad enough.

Helms like to hide $hit. A fuse is not a fuse it is a magic word that you must figure out and decipher their stupid code.

My Helm's manuals have all kinds of stickies hanging out of them to give me a shortcut back to something I know I'll need to find later!

Helms doesn't write the manuals. Helms only publishes the manuals. GM writes them. Or someone they contract to do it.;

Service manuals??? Heck, the index in my Owner's Manual is crappy! How difficult can it be to produce a useful index? At least with the .pdf version I can use the browser "find" function.

And precisely why I used a downloaded pdf for all my user manuals including the Corvette.
