Default Tire Wear

After only getting about 7,500 miles out of the original Goodyear runcraps on my 2010 Grand Sport, I've been very **** about the air pressure that I keep in my new Bridgestone Potenza Pole Positions. The dealer tried to tell me I wasn't keeping enough air pressure in the origninal tires. I always keep 30 PSI cold in them. I now have about 3,000 miles on the new tires and I measured my tire tread depth today to find that the center of the tires have 9/32 while the inside and outside tire treads only have 8/32. The tires came new with 10/32. If I keep up the same average here, I am only going to get about 10-12K miles on them.

My question is, if I now start keeping 32 PSI in all the tires, will it lessen the wear on the outer treads and wear more in the center OR will it just wear the center more and also the outside treads the same? I would really like to see 15K miles out of these tires.

I do not think two psi will change wear much if any.

Maybe bump it up to 35 PSI?

Higher pressure will indeed cause more wear in the middle. The trick is to find what the right pressure is.

Hope I'm not injecting too much into your thought process but check this discussion and definitely follow my instructions to the link I posted. It's good advice for people who are more "concerned" about tire pressure. Good luck, hope you get it squared away.
