Exhaust sounds
Am I the only one who doesn't like the sound of the NPP exhaust with the 10 amp fuse pulled . I tried it but just didn't like the roar . It would be great on the track but not for cruising . The mellow sound of the normal mode is my choice .

I think you might be.

I like the idea of a 'louder 'and 'less loud' version of an exhaust. So I like my NPP in that regard. However, I can't say that the tone of the louder version sounds that good compared to premium brands of aftermarket cat back exhausts. But, I have had so many loud exhausts on my vehicles in my life that I am thinking about trying something different ...like leaving my oem ZR1 exhaust alone.

I got the M2W and leave on loud because I like the engine sound (I have a Harley I ride too). However, I did enjoy using the Mild when I drove to NY a few weeks back. All those interstate miles were better spend playing with the XM. I set it back to Wild during my visit and took my mother for a ride. She liked the look a lot but commented it was hard to get in and out and that there was something wrong with my exhaust because it was too loud.

Sorry but I am old school and old and believe that it's hard to improve an original Vette . I know I will catch the devil for this but it's what I believe . In the long run the vette is more valuable when trading or selling in the original state . As a rule dealers will usually deduct for ad ons .

If trade-in or private sale values were such a concern, there wouldn't be a large aftermarket.
You asked if you're the only one that doesn't like the car loud. If you can't stand the answer, don't ask the question. Nonetheless, it's your car, do as you please . No different than someone who buys a new $100k ZR-1, pulls it into the shop, guts it, adds a cage, race seats, etc and then head to the track. To most car people, "value" is defined by how much fun they have with the car, not by how much money they get when it's time to sell. Different strokes for different folks
