Two CF guys meet at car show
Big Dan 427 and red2012 (Ron) planned to meet at Glen Island in New Rochelle for the annual Playland car show. Ron and I had been chatting for a few months via the forum and decided to hang out today at the show. Great to meet you Ron, we had a perfect day and got to see hundreds of cars and lots of Corvettes.

Looks like a cool car show with all types there. But who are the two dudes blocking the view of the Corvettes? Fer cryin' out loud, don't they know not to stand in front of the Corvettes?

LOL; Yea your right. But this time it was about me and Big Dan finally getting to meet. This was more about a friendship finally getting connected with the cars being secondary in this case. But anyway we had a great time met alot of people but unfortunately even with all the vettes there we didn't meet one owner who was a forum member.

Thanks for all the great comments guys! Ron nailed it, today was about meeting a new friend and just hanging out. We both ran into lots of people we know which made it even better. Next time we should try to get a crew.
I was actually telling Ron the story of how my former hot rod won this and many other shows and low and behold the fellow who I sold it to taps me on the shoulder. He is a good friend but did not bring it yesterday, he brought one of his other customs.
Here is a photo, it's a one off (at the time it was built) custom 1940 ****** roadster with a 528ci Hemi, 727 TF tranny and a ford 9inch with a 373 gear. Oh and it produced 650 lbs. of torque.
