1LT vs 2LT/3LT
When selling a used C6, is one equipped with the 1LT package harder to sell then one with the 2LT or 3LT? I'm in the market for a used C6 and was wondering if it's better to try and get a highly optioned car over a base model. And what are the main benefits of the 2/3LT over the 1LT? I'd like the HUD which I think is only available on the latter two option packages.
Would appreciate any feedback or advice you can provide. Thanks!

1LT gets you in the game for less $!! I prefer the solid leather seats over perforated. I bought my own cargo shade. I have a Bluetooth earpiece and I hate HUD. 1LT was right for me and my GS.

1lt for me did not want or need the options that came with the other packages. Matter of personal choice and what people are looking for and how they use their Vette.

I would go 3lt. I've had friend who would get a base, than hear them go well I didn't need
that or never use that. BUT when they get in my cars sure have fun with all the
options. Wait a little longer rather than have to have it now stripper. Have
3 cars with HUD, friends find out what it is love it, don't have to take your eyes off the
road. Another opt have and vette may get sometimes is the surround view and parking
assistant. Puts all angles & sonic sensors on your Nav screen

Options included in each group vary depending on year. 2LT really changed in 2011 or 2012 IIRC. Originally HUD only came in 3LT.
When I bought my 2007 I ordered it with the 2LT pkg. didn't need or want many of the extras that came with 3LT - a lot of stuff to make the car more complicated and prone to breaking (perfect example is the automated, move everytime you get in/out seats and steering wheel). But I did want the basic important stuff that 1LT left out (side airbags, lumbar and side bolster adjustment in sport seats).
For used cars the option can usually be had for pennies on the dollar - so its easier to sell a higher optioned car, but you don't get as much more as you originally spent. It's a good deal if you want some of the stuff in the higher packages.
Decide which features you really want, instead of trying to figure out what option package you should look for. The decision will be much easier that way.

I really like the heated seats. I didn't initially care about the HUD, but now use it instead of loking at the instrument cluster. I don't have the NAV, but the premium Bose radio in my car leaves a lot to be desired. I don't have OnStar either.

You can definitely get a 1LT cheaper and can add most of the options you would want later (even HUD which I agree is cool). That said when it comes time to sell, 1LT models are a dime a dozen and higher optioned cars are more desirable. Just don't look for a big return on your investment, is all. Just enjoy your car and it will all be worth it, no matter which options you choose.

I was offered $32.5K yesterday at a local car show for my '08 0-option 1LT. I was parked right next to a '14 $73K C7. I paid $39,680 5+ years ago.
I didn't sell.
I didn't sell.

I like my HUD. Get the options you want and not the options you think will help on the resale value. Who knows what a car will be worth in the future?

I really think it's kinda strange that you're buying a car, and deciding which option package to get, based on what it will be worth when you sell it??? What?
I purchased the 2LT, because the 1LT didn't provide all the equipment I wanted, and the 3LT provided more than I needed.
Make your choice based on your needs, not what someone else might pay when you sell the car....thats'

In my opinion it's always better to have more options when selling a car. On the other hand if you keep the car too long and those options start breaking down, ouch.

When I traded my '02 vert for an new JSB 1LT coupe I didn't think I'd miss the HUD. I really did. Later I got a 3LT '08 vert.
I won't likely get another 1LT. The HUD can be added but I also like the memory package and power top.
Good luck.

This was my first Corvette and I wanted everything I could get. My car is loaded with every option. While I have really enjoyed the bells and whistles, I know that I could be happy with a 1LT because the Corvette is awesome even in most base form.
You should pay less for a 1LT and it will be worth less when you sell. No big deal either way.

Here is my take on trim packages for cars.
1) I get all my used cars optioned to the nuts. They are harder to find, but you really don't pay that much extra for them.
2) I never worry about resale values...because I buy a car to drive, not to sit in a garage.
3) If you have all the options, then you never have to hear yourself say! ..gee, I wish I had....
4) Options are like horsepower. You may never use them all, but if you ever do need them, you got em
