Who's content with their C6?
With all the hoopla around the C7 lets hear who's content with their C6, If your planning to trade yours in soon then this thread is not for you. If your like me & you plan to keep your C6 at least 5 years & don't get all crazy when new technology comes out then your like me. I bought a new 13 GS knowing full well a C7 was around the corner but just didn't care. I had my C5 for over 8yrs & hope to have my GS that long. I look in my garage & love seeing the widebody staring back at me.. Who's with me, long live the C6 owners!!..

I ordered my 13 C6 to avoid the C7. I have no buyers remorse. I love my C6 it is so much better than my 30 C5. I was in Bowling Green for the Bash and really do not like the design of the C7. The new engineering mechanical things are great, but the outside view turns my off.
We juist finished a 1284 mile round trip. I got 28.5 mpg and averaged 71.1 mph. Love my 6 speed manual C6!!!!!!!

I have been more than "content" with my '08 for over the last 5 1/2 years. Two things would have to happen to get me to consider a C7 in the next 3 or 4 years: The C7 Z06/Z07/ZR1 would be killer w/600-700+ hp and a killer bod... AND be available as a CONVERTIBLE as well as a coupe. THEN it is sell-a-kidney/buy lots of PowerBall tickets time!

I'm content with my C6 and still love it but if I won the lottery tomorrow, there would be a C7 in the garage the next day. I have a feeling if most C6 owners were honest, the same would be true for them....JMHO

I am happy as a clam!
Perhaps when the General puts out a hi-po version of the C7 I might wish for one, but certainly not in the early years of a new model. Been there; done that and won't do it again.

I love driving my 13GS. I also knew the C7 was coming but being an unknown quantity and the C6 a proven machine, I opted for C6. To me the C7 is as foreign as a new Porsche and when I priced a C7 with 3LT it was way more expensive than my brand new C6. If I was rich, I would have one of each but for now, I am content. Will I be able to resist for five more years? I doubt it but time will tell.

I sought out and purchased my 13' C6 3LT with purpose and reason. The C7 is a gorgeous car, but you always let production year cars go to those willing to take the risks. Every day I drive C6 is another day I have zero regrets. Like my other cars, this one is a keeper till I drop over.

Content is an odd word. To me it means making do but wanting more.
I would say I am content. If anyone wants to trade me their c7 or pay the $30kish difference for me to upgrade I would gladly take one. I would also take a c6 Z06/ZR1 if anyone feels generous.
I would not have bought a 13 to avoid the 14. Then again I did not pay anywhere near new prices for my 08.
With headers I still outperform the stock and tune only c7s. Just barely. Interior wise GM will never keep up with the global market. c5 was better than c4. c6 better than c5. I like the c7 interior but sure it will fall behind quickly too.
I've wanted a Corvette for a long time. I honestly did not expect to get into a c6 this early but found a way to make it work. There will always be something newer and someone faster. I will always want it to be mine.

I guess I am honest because I bought my '13 GS after the C7 was revealed so I could have had either. I chose the C6 GS because I think it is a more meaner looking car and I will be keeping it for awhile. I get compliments EVERYDAY on the car so I guess it still has appeal.

I love my 2013 2LT GS. I bought it after the reveal of the C7.I have looked at the c7 from just about every angle I could possible look at it from and in lots of different colors.I just can't wrap my taste buds around that car. That extra window behind the driver...scoops up the wazoo...the overall layout is just . Technology aside and the fact that some guy ran 11's at the strip in Jersey the other day with a stock c7,none of that makes up for the fact that in my eyes the car is just over done! IT'S UGLY! My GS,on the other hand is the perfect car looks wise.Wide where it should be and not where it shouldn't.No dumb looking scoops or "STINGRAY" badges that look out of place...everything works on my c6 as far as looks. The more I try and like the look of the c7,the more i aggravate myself!!
so yea,I'm very content with my c6!!

My '06 just got its 45,000 mile service, oil change and tire change (GY summer off and Michelin A/S on) this AM, and is ready for six months of driving through the winter months.
To be honest though, there was a TR 1LT C7, AT and chrome wheels (equipped as is my '06), that is calling madly to me. Not to start an argument with anyone, but I have never been a 'first model year' buyer, and the C7 is no different, with a 2015 in the plans.
To answer the OP's question: I am very content with my C6. It is beautiful, draws attention, looks like new, and other than tires, a new battery last year and a new FOB battery the year before that, it has been trouble free.

I waited until I could see the C7 in person up close before any purchase only then did I decide on my current new '13 GS & it was a personnel preference not a cost decision, maybe in a few years I may jump to the C7

If I won the lottery it sure as hell wouldnt be a Corvette in my driveway. Wait, there would be...the one I have now, but I would also have something from one of those little countries over the big pond.

Bought the 427 vert because I had to have it NOW, didn't want to wait another year for a new body style. So far, I am perfectly happy with it, beyond content. IF, however gm makes something along the lines of the 427 vert in a C7, I will likely be one of the first in line with my title in hand. I aggressively paid down my car to be able to have title in hand in less than a year. for a straight up C7 perhaps not.
