Clutch question

Clutch question
Car is in the shop. Something going on with the clutch. Question is, if it needs a clutch, what kind should I get? Don't drag it or race it.(too much). Just something that is better than OEM but doesn't break the bank. Hopefully they tell me it is something simple!!!

A stock GM clutch will last you 70K to 100K miles. You gonna drive the car that far? Why waste money?

Sorry, I have an 07 ls2. Car has 42k on it. Bought it with 36k. Didnt know if there was a better option for "somewhat" normal driving with a vette. Haven't got a call yet from dealership with problem. Just trying to get some ideas
