Tire size ratio, how much can you deviate from 1.18 ratio?
How much can you move away from the 1.04 ratio?
I've read many have issues of the traction control kicking in with the wrong tire size.
I was looking at running C5 rims with snows
225/50R17 fronts & 255/45R18 rears difference 1.18 ratio
That was the closest I could find (prefer going down the 1" to the 17s and 18s for the snow)
I used http://www.sizemytires.com/calculators/compare

Since you're wanting to run snow tires, it's better to have TC active regardless of any F/R tire ratio that forces it. TC is the default mode, so there's no reason to turn it off.
The calculation for the worst case ratio that is still within the limits is easy. Find the circumference of new OEM rear tires and divide it by the circumference of the OEM front tires when the tread is totally gone.
