dead battery can't open the doors
I have searched through many posts about dead batteries and using your key to get into the car and then releasing the manual door latch but these all seem to be for cars with a hatch - mine is a 2006 convertible
Even though I can get into the truck with my key I can only see the release for the fuel cap and the trunk (I guess in case you get locked in the trunk?) but no release for the doors and there seems to be no way to get into the passenger compartment to get to the manual door release - am I missing something or is there another way to get my doors open so I can open my hood and charge my battery
Thanks

In the trunk look at the top of the drivers side wheel well there should be a tab you pull to open the doors. It might be a little hard to see since it is black plastic.

dig around on the drivers side up high. Door release must be under the carpet. Mine was hidden the first time I looked for it also.

This has just been discussed on another thread. Its easy if you have a battery charger. Hook the positive clamp to the starter battery cable stud (under the car). Hook the negative clamp to the frame or engine block. Let the charger work for a couple of minutes and open the door.

Just put the key in the trunk, open it and pull the door release tab that is sitting on the left fender wall. If you don't see it, root around in there because it's there but it might be hidden behind the carpeting. No big deal. No need to jack up the car to get at the starter wires to charge the battery, use the key.

FYI
The pull to release the Vert's trunk lid, in case you were locked in the trunk, is located at the back of the trunk near the latch and is a large, white-ish T-shaped handle. I think it might even glow in the dark.
Dig deeper for the door release, it's there too.
