C6 > C7 (Changed my mind)

[QUOTE=DAFFYDRUNK;1585414127]fyi.. The topic C6 > C7 indicates the C6 is greater...
Saw a C7 at a local dealership last night. It was white with snow on it and I was freezing to death so hard to tell, but it's cool I think. The a$$ end looks a bit too Pontiac Aztek for me though.
Haha. Good analogy!

I hate the misuse & distortion of a word (hater) for the reason of mischaracterizing and demeaning a person who holds a different view
I get the idea that many of the younger generation would rather have a car which has the lines of several different cars rather than the unique "stand-alone styling". Ther was a time in America where unique and rugged individualism was a positive trait to be sought after. Now we are told that we must emulate Europe. That's the marketing buzz word now. it's sophisticated. Next decade it may be Asia which is deemed as "sophisticated" And the C8 will look like a mix of NSX, GTR & LFA. Then the C9 will be marketed as the new ground breaking styling, overtly American with "stand-alone styling"

Who said we must emulate European styling?
The Ferrari 458 styling is spectacular, as is the Aventador. Every Aston Martin is gorgeous.
Mercedes and Audi sedans are well styled inside and out. The LFA is a beautiful car as are all the Lotus cars.
The C5,6 and 7 are unique and spectacular. Mustangs are retro and modern as is the Challenger.
Great styling is great styling no matter where it's origin. We live in a world market where ideas don't respect national borders.
I'm afraid the notion of purely 'American' style is more outmoded all the time.
And I, for one, want the best the world has to offer.

The C7 is nice but has some weird looks.
1. Saw one in front of me. Looks like some Italian job from the rear with a Vette logo.
2. looks like a stretched Nissan 370Z from the side.
3. Looks sort of like a Vette from the front. Like the LED DRLs in the head lights.
Keeping the C6.

Where did you get this idea about the 'younger generation'?

Its not the car so much as the people. They are acting worse than kids. Have
these grown men ever had a new car before. The C6 is nice (dated now), C7 is
ok but its still a car and one gm has not taken the time to assure a good rollout.
Like kids again, these guys can not see the flaws. Get in a p***ing contest
when someone suggest they should have a higher standard for quality. Turn
a blind eye probably even if there car is sitting in the garage broke.
Haters than ok, expecting better from a company that get its life back from the
taxpayers.
Will I get one, well won't say the word never. Right now I would rather have
a fully restored C3 to replace my C6 if decide to get rid of it

I have owned a ton of Corvette' s, and the C7 is a huge step forward. If I had the extra money, I would have one in my garage REPLACING my C6!

Living under a rock? It's lingo for someone that doesn't like something....ie the C6 owner that doesn't care for C7 styling, or the opposite. Has nothing to do with demeaning someone. Lighten up, it's an internet forum.

I agree that the C6 looks dated. It looked so much like the C5 when it was introduced and still does. The C7 is fresh, modern, and a great looking car. I have some buyers remorse, but may make a change in a year or two when the Z or something better comes out.

The C7 is the best corvette ever and the C6 is the best looking ever, imho. That said I will own a C7 down the road. Having too much fun with my LS3 right now.

I saw my first C7 last weekend and really liked it. What I didn't like was the $9,500 dealer markup. I'm patient enough to enjoy my current ride until prices become more sensible.

I kept thinking "Transformers" when I viewed the C7. I expect we'll be seeing a new Star in the next movie of the Transformer franchise.
I also imagine there will be cute little sidekick called a Volt!
Choice is a great thing.

No hate here but after seeing the C7 in person a couple of times I felt something “missing”. Then I had my 2013 GS right next to one and it hit me. The narrow body was throwing me off. There is something about the wide body of the GS (or Z06, ZR1) that makes the Corvette look "meaner”. No disrespect to those that have the narrow body, just my own opinion. Now if/when the wide body version of the C7 comes up maybe I will start to lean towards the C7. But for now, I will stick with my 2013 GS.
