Default HELP! Car won't start.

I just finished swapping transmissions on my 2006 A6. I swapped TCM. I just put fluid in and went in to start the car.
The check engine light immediately comes on (doesn't crank). After about 5 seconds the dash comes on and the DIC says, Service Antilock Brakes, Service Vehicle Soon, Service Fuel System, Low Fuel.
I have a full tank. All the gauges read correct but the fuel gauges is on empty. Is there a procedure I missed in the tranny swap?

Sounds like the battery. A load test is the only way to test the battery. Try putting charger on it.

Really? Battery is about a month old but I'll try. Why would the fuel gauge read empty?

When the battery is low lots of codes show up on the DIC. You have been working on the C6 and maybe had the door open off and on. Just sitting with the battery hooked up runs it down. It could be something else but with the C6 the battery is always the first thing to check.

That is volts. It doesn't mean anything without a load on it. You can take it to a auto parts store and most will load test it free. A fully charged battery should show 12.5 volts. It's a common problem. Do you have jumper cables? Sometimes even that won't work.

Well it isn't the battery. I press the start and only the check engine light comes on, nothing else. Then after 5 seconds the other dash lights come on and the Welcome comes on the DIC. That's when I get the error messages.

I tried scanning the codes with a reader and it wouldn't connect. I then tried using HP Tuners Scanning and that couldn't connect either. My battery is charged, i tested it and it is at 12.75 volts. Press the button and only the service engine symbol comes on, then after a short delay the dash cycles on and I get the error codes. None of which should prevent it from starting. Just scratching my head on this one.

why did you swap the tcm?, I'm going to bet the vin in the tcm doesn't match your vehicle so it wont work till its flashed with your vin

I'm using my original TCM that has my Vin. The rest of the tranny is mechanical.

I tried that too. Older cars has a safety switch in case of impact, usually in passenger footwell. Corvettes don't have them do they?

Sorry for the confusion. I replaced my tranny but used my original TCM in the replacement tranny.
