Default car hauler recommendations needed

I'm moving from the SF bay area to Houston next spring (Feb-Mar). I'm looking for recommendations for a car hauler to move my '13 vert and '14 Silverado. Perferably enclosed trailer with lift gate loading (front too low to get up a ramp without having to remove too many parts).

TIA,
Ken

Default Intercity Lines

Intercity Lines, a forum sponsor.

No ramps, used a platform lift. The car, while inside was covered with a soft car cover. Driver was a Corvette owner and kept contact with me during delivery. Dropped car off at my front door.

Did a great job for me from Indy to Sacramento, CA.

I use a 22ft VNOSE enclosed car hauler trailer. Works awesome, I pull it with my 2009 Larmie.

I know Uhaul is low quality but why? What would you have done differently?

I had a great experience using Plycar moving my Vette from RI to NC in a closed van. They are also used by Callaway.

Been there also and will never do that again. Military moving is terrible.

even at stock height you needed a crap load of boards to get the car up the ramps without rubbing the bottom bumper.... then you need boards along the entire trailer where the tires roll over so the car can clear the front of the trailer and even when you get the car on the trailer and clear the bumper and keeping the car from bottoming out, the straps holding the tires down will rip off the air dams in front of the tires if not removed and will apply retarded amount of upward pressure to the bumper causing it to bend once strapped down.

I don't think my '13 427 CE vert is going to make it up a ramp for a UHaul trailer. I would need to the remove the chin splitter and side body aero parts. My ride is at stock height. I think the best way to go is with someone with a lift gate trailer.

They shipped my 'Vette from Austin,TX and a Turbo Trans Am from Louisiana; excellent service both times.

I used dependable auto shipping (Buffalo NY to SF CA) with no problems. It was even an open carrier. But who knows, maybe I was just lucky. Anybody else use them?
