Tried to get in the car this morning. Can't get the door to open. Only way to get in is use the emergency release. At the dealer now

Did you go around and try the passenger door? I understand that it's fixed...just wondering...

Passenger door was fine. The tech said he has not seen a passenger door go bad, only the drivers side actuator.

Makes sense since the drivers will get much more use. Glad it got fixed so fast!

It looked like something behind the plastic trim behind the drivers side seat on the side of the car. It was approximatle at ear height. He never took the door panel off and didn,t appear to work on the door itself. He is their corvette specialist and only works on vettes. I will look at the paperwork and see what part was replaced.

Borh outside and inside buttons didn't work. You could hear the actuator, but the door wouldn't open. It acted like it opened an a half inch and i had to use the lever on the floor to open it all the way.

Koons was a quality dealer when I lived in the area.

I replaced the door latch actuator on my 05 and the door latch worked for a while then quit. Turned out I had a bad Body Control Module (BCM) that didn't send enough power to the door latch. replaced the BCM and all is well. It's pricey though. You have to replace the part then have a dealer reflash the BCM to your car. Could be that or maybe just the inside button?

Does it open just a little bit? Like you can wiggle the door a little? That is what mine did. You could hear the actuator and then when you tried to open the door, it moved a little and then the latch would catch. Did the same from inside and outside the car.

After fixing the door, drove straight to a tint place and got 15% put on the doors

no,they door button on the inside does nothing but make the red light on the door panel come on.this car has aftermarket lambo style doors so there is no telling what is causing the problem.
