Default Add NPP bi-mode exhaust to your C6 and have more control modes than a factory NPP car

ADD NPP bi-mode exhaust to ANY C6, from 2005-Up!

Hot News! An amazing new option for retrofitting NPP to your C6 is now available!

Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit is now available. Same great kit as this All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit, and includes the Amazing Exhaust Commander Elite controller.

Check out the video of the new Elite controller:

As with all my Corvette exhaust controllers, this retrofit kit has a LIFETIME WARRANTY!

There are three modes of operation, instantly selectable on-the-fly when the car is running with simultaneous status updates on the DIC and HUD:

>Loud Mode
>Quiet Mode
>User RPM opening Mode - No Drone and maximum exhaust open time! Automatically!

User RPM mode opens and closes the exhaust at the two RPM values you program in by a very friendly and simple-to-use
DIC-based user menu when your car is in Accessory mode.

Here is a thread that has a lot of info on the amazing Exhaust Commander Elite controller that is included in this Elite NPP retrofit kit!

Exhaust Commander Elite

Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit also has the exclusive feature of being able to be installed in the car WITHOUT having to drill ANY holes in your car! Why Drill into your car when you dont need to?

Get the best system available with the most features available!

Order here ---> Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 NPP bi-mode exhaust retrofit kit

This is a new option available on the All-in-1 bi-mode exhaust retrofit kit that I have been selling for the last year. Works on all C6's 2005-2013.
Its always been 100% Zero Battery drain since its inception, now with this exclusive Sunset Orange Creations new feature its even better!

With this bi-mode vacuum retrofit solution you get everything you need to control your retrofitted bi-mode exhaust and get the option to now have a ZERO BATTERY DRAIN remembers last
setting mode
. Whatever position your butterflies are in when you turn the car off, is the position they return to when you start the car again. This system is 100% Zero Battery drain!

Using a special non-volatile memory, I have created a system that is powered off when the car is off so that there is no battery drain at all, yet it retains its memory so it comes back to life exactly as it
was shut down.

Shut down the car in quiet mode? It will start in quiet mode. Shut it down in loud mode, and it will start up in loud mode. Its a revolutionary new feature available right now with the
Exhaust Commander All-in-1 bi-mode exhaust retrofit kit.

This NPP vacuum retrofit kit includes the Exhaust Commander Elite controller, and all of the necessary vacuum lines, vacuum solenoid and wiring to complete the control system installation.

This kit gives you full open / full closed modes, as well as a user programmable RPM opening mode and gives you the ability to switch between the modes instantly using the the lock button on your door panel inside the car and the cars keyfob when outside the car!

Typical install time is around 1 or 2 hours.

NO holes need to be drilled in your car when you mount the solenoid box outside of the car, and everything could be removed without a trace if you wanted to.

These systems are designed, assembled and tested by Us, right here in the USA!

Quick install summary:

1: The engine vacuum tap used is the correct GM bi-mode vacuum port on the back of the
intake manifold, just like the 2008-20012 NPP C6, Z06 and ZR1's use. Not the brake booster or other critical
engine sensor systems. Do it right just like the GM factory does it. The GM engineers that designed the bi-mode exhaust system know the most reliable way to tap vacuum for the system is at the rear intake vacuum port.
The vacuum line is run above the tunnel plate from the engine to the
vacuum solenoid unit and then you hook up the vacuum lines to the butterfly valves on the mufflers.

2: The solenoid box is mounted outside the cabin requiring NO HOLES need to be drilled to install the system.

3: The power cable is run easily from the passenger foot well area to the rear of the car by tucking it underneath the trim panels.

4: Once everything is hooked up, Start the car and enjoy your fully operational bi-mode exhaust system!

This is a great vacuum retrofit system for those who want to retrofit bi-mode exhaust to their C6 that didnt come with it. All you need is the Exhaust Commander Elite All-in-1 kit and the bi-mode mufflers and you have a functioning bi-mode exhaust.

Simple to install, and available with features that Corvette enthusiasts demand!

Sunset Orange Creations will continue to develop new and improved, exciting products
for the Corvette enthusiast.

We are looking forward to helping you in the future with any of your bi-mode exhaust needs.

Feel free to contact us anytime with questions or custom system requirements.

Another question for you S.O.C., How does this key fob/door unlock "switching" differ from the stock way to open or close the NPP exhaust? In the stock version is there a dedicated switch in the car, or does it use the key fob as well?

And do you know anyone near Stamford, Connecticut that you work with (or nearby New York) who might retrofit the entire NPP exhaust/controller from a stock set up?

The Exhaust Commander All-in-1 NPP retrofit kit only works with bi-mode exhausts that have vacuum actuated butterflies on the mufflers.

GM Factory Z06 and ZR1 mufflers, 2008-2013 NPP mufflers, the Billy Boat Fusion mufflers and the Akropovic mufflers.

The factory NPP systems have no user control from the factory and have only one mode of operation. They are closed until the factory preset rpm, and when that rpm is reached they open. ONce below the preset rpm they close again.

You can add an aftermarket exhaust switch to the factory bi-mode system which would give you two modes of operation, the factory rpm opening, or open all the time.

When you use our Exhaust Commander Elite NPP retrofit system you get THREE user modes:

1: Open all the time mode
2: Closed all the time mode ( no rpm opening )
3: User selectable rpm opening

On the user selectable rpm opening mode you get to select the rpm at which the exhaust opens and closes automatically. There are separate setting for the opening rpm and the closing rpm. You can have the exhaust open at 3000 rpm and then close at 2400 rpm. That way you get the deceleration pop and burble that people like. Or you can set the open and close to the same rpm if you would like. Its totally adjustable to your liking and preferences.

The door lock button functionality is unique to our Elite controller. it allows you to change exhaust modes while inside the car without needing to find a secondary remote. You just press the lock button on the door panel. when you are outside the car you can use your cars keyfob to open and close the exhaust.

Using this method there is never an extra remote that can be lost or needs to be mounted somewhere.

The video above shows a lot of the info I just posted in this post. Take and look at it, and if you need additional info, let us know.

Thanks!

Ben

Yes, I did look at your video, but didn't know exactly how it compared to the factory system until you articulately described it above, so thanks.

My question now is how to find someone from which to purchase the exhaust components and have them installed, and perhaps purchase from them your device and have it installed too -- or purchase it from you and have it installed by them. Any hints as to that would be appreciated.

It sounds to me like you've got a compelling design there!

If you are looking to purchase the exhaust components new from GM I would recommend you contact member RichieRichZ06 here on the forum. He is a sponsoring dealer here on the forum and can get you a great deal on the GM parts.

For the controller you can go to our online store and pick out the options you would like. It's shop.sunsetorangecreations.com

As for a shop to do the installation, any shop that has worked on the 2005-2013 Corvettes should have no issue doing the install.

I need to replace the battery on my Exhaust Commander "2-Button" FOB; however, I am not able to locate a replacement battery in Houston.

This Exhaust Commander was installed on my 2010 GS in September 2009.

The only numbers on the battery are 27A 12V.

Several stores have 27-amp / 12-volt batteries but they are not the same size.

Does anyone have the battery ID number? (such as: A23 or A27 or GP27, or whatever.....)

Can anyone help?

The battery is a 27A 12 volts. It should be available at stores like radio shack.
