Default Installed LED driving lights in my Z06/GS Front splitter vents.

Throught this would look cool, maybe a little bit of a polarizing mod but I like it. havent really seen this one done before. Bought some LED driving lights off the 'bay. installed them the other day and hooked them up to one of the fuses in the fuse box that is turned on when the key is switched on.

the lights came a blaring clear white lens so i masked off the round bulb areas and used tail light tint to darken the area around it, Turned out pretty well i think, Gives it a factory look, and looks great when in front of the car.

Pics!!

I personally would installed them with the fog lights. To me they don't flow with the car where you have them. They are nice but seem out of place IMO.

Thx for the comments. I thought about the fogs. But thought it would look better with the lights so low to the ground.

I don't usually like added lights, but those are really nice.

Thanks for sharing!

I did the exact same thing you did a few months ago. I used some cheap LED lights I found on eBay. They're not as bright as the factory installed LEDs on the German cars but it's more for looks than anything. I'm also playing with the idea of installing a set of bright LEDs inside of a factory fog lamp housing. Gotta figure out how to remove the lens and mount the LEDs first.

I think they look cool, but they are too low for effective lighting. But if you just want to look cool, I think they are fine.

I think those look really good where you installed them.

Yes-the lights are mounted too low to do any good but it's taking advantage of a space that is already there and is wasted space anyway. As for the LED lights, just go to eBay and type in LED fog lamps in the search box. You'll see lots of venders offering all types and styles of lights you can adapt for that location.

A tasteful mod, IMHO. And if you tire of them, it looks like they'll be easy to remove. Have fun!

Working in the Bronx and Manhattan I see all kinds of LED installs that would make your head spin but I like them when they are tastefully done, and those are tastefully done.
