On my 2005 I had the tunnel plate installed from Elite Engineering when I did the headers.

Oh, and while you have it in the air you can also lower on the stock bolts.

I definitely think I'm going to do an EE Tunnel plate.

Tunnel plate, and maybe different spark plug wires. Also have the bung installed (even if not used initially) to install an O2 sensor for a guage later. A SST plug will block it until you need it.

I hadn't thought about different spark plug wires, any suggestions? I think the PFADT headers already have an additional bung but I could be wrong. I'll have to double check.

If not different wires, then insulators: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c6-t...cks-boots.html

PFADT (which is also my header of choice for the C6) does have the bung.

Also, maybe the new "locking" header bolts - prevents heat cycle/vibration loosening over time.

I think I'll look in to the wire socks. The car only has 100 miles on it so wires probably aren't really necessary yet.

Stage 8 make the locking header bolts I think. I had a set on a car once and disappointingly they rusted. Do you know of any other brands that work well?

How do the motor mounts compare to the stockers as far as noise and vibration on a mainly driven street car?

unfortunately I haven't had time to install them but from what I've read they do induce slightly more vibrations than the stockers but the return feeling of a locked down drivetrain is worth it. I personally don't mind a little extra vibrations because upgraded motors and trans mounts make the driving experience way better. I was originally going to go with the Pfadts until I read that they are near solid mounts and I don't really need solid mounts since my car is a DD.

From my experience with other platforms( high HP Audi S4), having upgraded motor and trans mounts has alway been worth having to deal with slightly more vibrations.

I know all of the major brands make stainless header fasteners, just be careful not to strip them out when installing. I would personally talk to vette header install shops, to see what they recommend too.

Percy's makes a locking SST version, I bet ARP and Stage 8 also do.

I would then google locking header fasteners for your particular engine, and see what is available. You should have more than one to choose from.

A cold air intake. (vararam, halltech) If you have the NPP, a mild to wild system.

So far I have decided on the following to go along with the PFADT headers: EE tunnel plate and Koolsox spark plug wire insulators. I'm still debating the locking header bolts.

Parts also to be installed at the same time include Sunset Orange Creations Exhaust Commander Car2U, MGW shifter, and MGW shifter box.
