Default Well, it finally happened to me too...

Went to the grocery store and parked far out away from other vehicles, was in there for 10 minutes...when I came out this is what I saw:

It's truly amazing. You just can't get away from these idiots. It's like some sort of "animal magnetism".

Looks like he's parked close to the island so at least he gave you plenty of room...I wouldn't be upset by this, guy (or gal) probably loves their mini-van as much as you love your Vette and KNOWS you're not opening your door into him...

Looks like he gave you plenty of room. May have been another car lover that felt the same about his car as do you. Could have even been another Corvette owner.

I don't understand why when someone parks next to a Corvette, people on the forum call them ever name thay can think of. In the picture it appears that the other driver allowed plenty of space between each vehicle plus I see a few cars parked even further out. After all it is a public parking lot. Also the OP pulls into a space in the oppisate direction that the vasr majority of people would plus he left the space next to the curbed area open. So as seem the driver pulls in to that spcwe and because he pulled in with the front facing the drive lane the driver will have to open his door toward the Corvette.

Or they could be an employee and told to park in the boonies. For all you know this may be his spot all the time and he's thinking whose this guy that parked by me.

I think the curiosity is why did the bus driver park next to the Vette rather than the 200 other empty spaces. No matter how much space he gave the Vette, why next to it?

Why not is there a law that says Corvette are a very special car and when one is seen parked in a public parking lot they are to be give special parking rights and no one is allowed to be withing 10 spaces of it.

Come guys grow up, iif you are that concerned about someone parking next to you, don't take the vette.

Park in the south forty, you became a target. Your car will stand out. Besides that though, I'm not sure what you're complaining about. It looks like he gave you plenty of room. Did he smack the side of your Vette with his door?

Thing that bothers me is not when someone parks next to you but when they park next to you 3 inches away, almost like they're trying to send you a message...

Default Parking Probs

A minivan is a much less problem than what I put up with.
Living in Montana, I usually score a duelly, or a filthy, banged up, rusty clunker truck that "just couldn't resist parking next to a corvette, no matter how much room there is in the parking lot"!

I'd bet my bottom dollar that privately, you'd cringe if you picked an empty spot 100 yards away from the front door only to find someone right next to you.

If you want to park next to other cars, up to you but why the false indignation at the rest of us? I love my Vette and it's special to me so I park it away from other cars because I want to. If I come out to see the scene above, I don't question the legality of it nor do I need to "grow up."

My natural reaction would be the same thing being discussed in this thread: why park next to me at the end of the lot when there are a couple hundred empty spots that are closer.

I wish I would have taken pictures of nice cars taking up two spots near the door just because they think they're entitled to at the public's expense. Then I could understand your point.

Haha, I know exactly what you mean, especially in Dillon. I bet they have a forum about trolling parking lots for nice cars to park next to just to see their reactions.

Sorry, but I just don't see an issue with the minivan. It appears to be parked a good distance from your car even though the photo makes it look like you parked very close to the line on the driver's side.
