Tire Size
Apologize for a basic question but I see conflicting info...
Issue is tire size. C6 BASE 2009. Car is lowered on stock bolts - about a half inch. New wheels: 18x10 and 19x11. The widest tires I've seen recommended: 275x35x18 and 305x30x19. Any advice is appreciated.

I ran those same size rims and tires on my 08 base.
I prefer the stock widths.
I am only street and found, especially three plus sizes up in the front made the steering heavy.
The car is more response with the stock widths.
At the time it became apparent not when going up in sizes but when I went back to stock widths. The car just felt better being more response.
Now at high speeds on the track it might be a different story.

Wheels and tires should work if the wheels have correct offsets.
Get an alignment using PFADT's street/track settings to ease the heaviness in the steering that's due to the increased un-sprung weight and tire width in the front.

Thanks for the Pfadt alignment tip... Now let's get this snow out of my driveway...

Ditto, do you want full contact tire tread to the ground, or can live with the threads slightly ballooned out on the rims and not fully contracting the ground, and what rim off sets do you have to keep the tires inside the wheel wells so you don't crack the fenders the first time you bottom the car out?
