Default Do you walk through the stains in a parking lot?

When I walk through a parking lot, I stay close to the side lines of the parking spot and/or towards the back of it. IOW's I stay away from the stains. I never noticed how others walked and just thought it obvious to stay away from the big stains. But then a few months ago, I saw my wife just walk through one of those big stains and I pointed out what I believe is the error of doing that.

A few weeks ago we went to dinner with my wife's family. We came out of the restaurant and began to walk to our cars. I noticed my sister in law and niece never seemed to worry about walking through the oil spots in the parking spots. They just walked on as if it didn't exist. True, there was not an actual puddle of standing wet oil. But the stains were quite large and evident. IMO, its about a 50/50 chance that the oil which made up the stain may or may not stick to a shoe and then to the carpet in the car.

So I have to ask if I am the only one to stay away from the big stains in the parking lots which were caused by fluids which drip from the engines and transmissions of the cars which park there? Is that reasonable.........or OCD???

I've been avoiding them for years. Finally got my wife to start watching out too. Who needs that gunk in the car?

Corvette drivers do but most people drive "TAC'S" (throw away cars) and don't seem to care.

I've had this notion for a long time, that there are two different kind of people on this planet...those that search for their car keys every morning, and those that know exactly where their car keys are at all times. I bet those who step in oil misplace their car keys quite often.

I never thought of this before. I've always walked down the isles until I reached my car.

Forget the parking lot!

I am tired of the douche bags dumping crap out of their door at the gas pump.
Step out of the car and there is a puddle of Coke or coffee.
Nasty!

You guys should start a thread entitled, "Threads I don't like" You've got a good start right here. And I'd be honored for this to be the first one mentioned.
Now, should we put you down as Stain walkers???

Better still maybe I should start a thread asking why people enter a thread just to complain about the topic? I wonder how many would complain about that too?

Seriously. OT topics for those afraid to post in OT.

Time to start another "Corvette Wave" or "What Kind of Microfiber Towels are Best" thread. Those are always really useful too.
