Default Windshield replacement

My windshield is being replaced as I type this. I was watching but seeing my baby taken apart pains me too much. I am amazed how much disassembly is involved in replacing the windshield.

Who's doing the replacement Dana, Safelite? They did mine last summer. I was pleased with the work.

I had mine replaced last year, no problems. It's a car and a windshield. There's nothing special or magic about it just because it's a Vette, even if it has a HUD.

It's over, looks great. Yep I do have hud, I was surprised it had to have a special windshield for that. Safelite did the work. pretty expensive. It was $800. I had to shell out $500 of that.

USAF were you in the USAF? I'm retired USAF.

You should have asked them to glue down the cowl below the windshield when they finished...
Now you have to do it when it starts vibrating at 55-70MPH.

Safelite did mine a year ago... The guys who did mine were great.

I agree....you may want to take it back ask them run a bead. The local windshield place did it for me. Sealing the cowl stops the Buzzing at highway speeds
