Default Previous owner setting stuck in memory ?

Recently purchased a very low mileage 2006 C6 MN6 Vert, how do I completely clear out the seat memory and DIC with his name in it, I entered my name in the DIC and it shows when I start up but if I press button # 1 on the seat memory then previous owners name shows on the DIC , my radio display changes color and the driver window starts to go ape **** and goes up and down repeatedly at the top near the closed position. When I shut down the car and come back, it starts up again and shows my name , the radio goes back to the color that I choose and its all good. Really weird.

There are 2 different fobs that have memory. You only changed the memory info. for one of them. Do your programming for the name in the DIC and other memory options, then push the other button on the door that you didn't press before. There are 2 buttons there together, one for fob #1 and one for fob #2.

Yes that makes total sense. Fob number # 1 had a dead battery so I have been using # 2. I fixed # 1 and will load that tonight.

Uhh, not exactly. It moves the seat to wherever you had it when you saved that spot with that button. It is intended to be an exit button, and for me, that is all the way back, but if you've only got the seat halfway back when you press that button, that's where it will stop when you open the door to exit.

Easy Exit Driver Seat

This feature can move the seat
rearward and the telescopic steering
column out of the way to allow extra
room to exit the vehicle.

B: Press to save and recall the
easy exit seat position.

To save into memory:
1. Recall the desired driving
position by pressing “1.”
2. Adjust the seat and the
telescopic steering column
to the desired exit position.

3. Press and hold B until
two beeps sound.
4. Repeat for a second driver
position using “2.”
To recall, press and release B.
The vehicle must be in P (Park) for
an automatic transmission or the
parking brake must be set for a
manual transmission. A single beep
sounds. The seat and telescopic
steering column will move to the
position previously stored for the
identified driver.

Unless, as Jim indicated, you set it for all the way forward or half way forward or 1/3 of the way back or... It will move it to where YOU set it, not where the factory might have set it. That's why reading the instructions in the manual helps.

I have my #2 FOB (seldom used) set for all the way back and #1 is more normal but I don't like going to the limits so the exit position is set just forward of the limit. If I exit from running with #2, the seat goes FORWARD.
