Yes.
I always park in the hinterlands, and yet, they manage to hit me anyway. I'm not talking about the parking next to me and door dinging, I am talking about parking close and backing into me (because they forgot I was there or never saw me). or turning left into me, or rear ending me. Yes, it's that bad. And none were my fault. I wasn't even in the car for three of them.
5 times on my two C6s in parking lots. I'm still working with the insurance company over this last one, which fortunately, is the only time someone has hit and run. The worst was when this giant truck backed up at light speed and drove my Z06 up and over the curb. He said never saw it. It's VR, for goodness sake!
Thank goodness they're just cars. Which still hurts. Sheeesh!

I never get too picky about parking. It's a DD and every scratch is my own doing. People don't seem to be maliciously jealous when you mingle among them, but they sure do when you appear to be special by parking off by yourself.

You can tell the people from the north. They are worried about birds. Bird poop easily rinses off (assuming you have Rejex) but parking under a tree is the ONLY place you want to park in the summer in the south. Sap doesn't bother me either.
I'm at Wally World a couple of times every week. If the employee's don't like working there they should look into collecting the tens of thousands the government will give them. If the suppliers don't like the deal, they have every right to sell their wares elsewhere. Why is it that people who have no experience running a business complain about how businesses operate?
The best place to park in any large lot is where the employees park. Most businesses with a large lot insist that their employees not park close to the door where the most traffic is. So you find where the employees park and join them knowing that you can park within inches of an old beater and it will not be an issue because the old beater is staying there for the day. At my local Wally World I like to park next to the girl I've met who is a checker and drives her C5 to work. Evidently the pay isn't that bad.

Good point about shade. It's been so dismal here for the last few months. Can't wait to need the sun shade.
I hope I never have to find out what kind of problems I will encounter washing a load of dried grackle c**p off the convertible top.
Always somethin'.

Coulda sworn I saw Walmart in the title... oh well sorry about that, I guess I jumped the gun, but that being said I still won't go to one.... my previous employer hired the COO from their and he is just a POS and has no clue....
love Jupiter tho, will be down there in a month or so to visit family.....

Who is talking about Walmart?
Check the thread title again, before giving in to the pig fight about the merits of one of American capitalism key players.
This thread was only aiming at fun, thanks to those who appreciated it as such.
For the record, I don't care about Waly any more than anyone, but then again, there are lots of things, people, and corporations I don't care about, but have to live with.
(And thanks Jim)

So let's skip the lectures on capitalism's excesses and overbearing behaviors vis a vis one's car. It IS a car forum isn't it?

Bird droppings as well as tree material, especially when it is hot=SAP.
That and possible water coming on for ground shrubs.
Actually this would be the last place I would pick.
Parking next to light poles can bring on the sea gull droppings too.
I avoid trees all year around period and have been surprised to many times by sprinkles.
