Default 07 to 09 differences

Looking at an 07 Z06 and an 09 Z06 and need to know what the differences are in the two years.

Thanks

I think you can get better info, faster, talking to the owners in the Z06 Forum:

Main thing that I know is that the 09 manual transmission is far superior in ease of shifting than the 07 trans. Especially going into first at a stop light. It was changed in 08.

2009 will have better interior, variable ratio steering, TR6060 transmission.

There will be other small changes with the ABS units, axles, etc.

The 09 Z will have the larger dry sump reservoir first introduced with the ZR1.

Someone will have to confirm this but the 09 Z06 might also have gotten the engine coolant cooled engine oil cooler that the ZR1 LS9 engine is equipped. Far superior design than the air cooled oil cooler in cold ambient weather.

For the $9,000, I would do the '07. There's nothing inherently wrong with the '07 trans, in spite of some improvements in the newer one. Drive it and see if it is hard to get into gear. I've driven a number of C6s with the T56 and have never encountered one that didn't work fine. The mileage difference is meaningless.
