You'll need new tires as well.

You can check it out on Discount Tire web site.

I would not do the rear - the fronts can be done.

Not the case, GS/Z06 wheels are 10" wide in front. 245/40R18 will fit up to a 9.5" wide wheel. Even if it did fit, it will not look "right" to you as the sidewalls will be angled out from tread to wheel. Depending on the tire, the tread width would be as much as 1.5-2" narrower than the wheel.

On the rear, you definitely can not use the stock 285/35R19 as they are typically only good to 10.5-11" width, and the rear GS/Z06 wheels are 12" wide.

BTW, if you're interested I have a full set of Chrome GS wheels with tires and TPMS for sale here.

They fit and are acceptable by manufacturer on the front.
I think the error in your calculation might be that the Z06
is only 9.5"

You're right, not sure why I had 10" in my notes. However I still think most people would be very unhappy with how a 245 will look on a 9.5" rim.

Yep - I did it - that's how I know.
I am going for a 255 on the front next
that should be the happy medium.
